Once I let folks around me know that I was actually going to do the move, the first question that popped up in everyone’s mind was “why”. I have struggled with formulating a consistent response to the “why” question.
On Monday, I was having dinner with Cuneyt and he helped me formulate it. It is a gut feel. Something, I have had in the back of my mind for ages now. I talked about this with Mitra on a bus ride from Campus to Mesa once, I have cribbed about this to Sekar and Al forever.
There are numerous little pieces to the equation: work, family, friends, peace of mind yadda yadda yadda… but it is hard place a logical framework around it and deduce the conclusion from it. At the end of it its all about the gut feel.

I propose another logic – not looking back at life 10 years from now and saying “if only” and “why didn’t I”. They say its better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all. Similarly its better to try this than to regret your entire life why you didn’t try it. Have patience and faith and things will work out just fine.
